#epicfail

Last night was the Big Brother Canada finale.  I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the Big Brother Canada show.  Usually Canadian shows are brutal, but I thought that they did a great job with this one.  Hey if you can cast 2 showmances and a love triangle, that's like Big Brother gold!

So in the finale we had Gary Glitter and Jillian.  Jillian has played a strong game.  She won 4 HOH titles and her and her showmance Emmett won the last 5 HOH's back to back, which probably helped her get to the end.  But that's the game right?  They made big moves throughout the game and their strategy worked.  She pissed people off though, and boy was the jury mad.

Then there is Gary Glitter.  The guy who came in with a target on his back, mostly because he left glitter everywhere in the house that he went.  Gary was voted out, but Canada voted to bring him back in, when there were 5 people left in the house.  I do know that Big Brother is full of twists, but I feel like bringing someone back that close to the end is giving them a huge advantage.  He also won a veto that kept him in the house, so you could argue that both of them won competitions that kept them there.

So everyone votes.  And then Arissa the host says "And Topaz has voted for Jillian."  Then this happens.

Shocker!  I don't want to be mean, but lets just say Topaz wasn't the smartest player this season.  Clearly.  For the first time in Big Brother history, somebody voted for the wrong person.  She seemed to think that somebody switched her vote, so they rolled the tape to prove that no, she did infact put the wrong key in the box.

The worst part is, it was the deciding vote.  Jillian won 4 to 3.  Jillian deserved it, but so did Gary, so it's really too bad that the win is kind of tainted.  In an interview, Jillian said that Big Brother ensured that the rules were followed the whole time.  Emmett was actually disqualified from 3 competitions and had an HOH stripped because he didn't follow rules, so why should this be any different?

Moral of the story is....

That was a lot of Big Brother talk.  What can I say, I love the show.  Big Brother US starts in June, so I only have a short wait until the next one.  Ryan's already excited.
